Workshop Information - Major Events for 2012

You're invited to take a step into greater understanding and to deepen your experience of the body/mind with each workshop. This year we are presenting opportunities to learn about bodywork and movement. Both these aspects of Rosen provide an opportunity for self development and personal growth as well as adding to the professional skills of those in health-related fields.

Rosen Method Bodywork Intensive and Movement Workshop:

Come and learn about the work of the heart - yours in particular. And how hard we work at just being ourselves. Do we need to put in such effort? Probably we have gained patterns of tension that make us feel stronger and able to cope with all we have to do. The trouble is that our strength is not sustainable, it's a 'brittle' strength, as over time, it begins to cause pain and loss of the range of movement of which our bodies are capable.

Rosen is a work of restoration. Gloria Hessullund (Senior Teacher and Director of Teaching in Australia, Scandinavia and the Berkeley School USA), Bill Samsel (Senior Teacher and Director of Teaching in Canada), Theresa Garcia (Rosen Movement Teacher) and Lynda Napier (Teacher in training) invite you to begin a journey of finding your way to peace and ease and a more relaxed way of being.

Global Congress 2012

The other event that is very exciting to contemplate is the Fifth Rosen Global Congress which will be on the archipelago held near Stockholm from 3 to 7 July 2012. This is the time of year when daylight never ends. Every two years since 2004, people trained in the Rosen Method - students, interns, practitioners, teachers and school directors - meet to share ideas and recharge the batteries together at a beautiful place. So far, the Congresses have been held in the Black Forest in Germany, Imatra, a beautiful spa town in Finland, Garrison a village in upstate New York on the Hudson River and the Cotswolds near Oxford in the UK.

The intention of the gathering is to allow the participants creative selves to refresh and share ideas, information and research and to plan the future of Rosen in 14 countries (and building). It's good work, work of the heart, done together.

The Swedish Rosen community are getting ready to welcome all Rosen-inspired people to this event. Further details on how to register etc will be posted here when available.
