Rosen Method Movement Intensive – 5 day workshop, Gold Coast, Qld
Sat 16 - Wed 20 August 2008 The intention of Rosen Method Movement is to cultivate the qualities of awareness, presence, and ease in your body so you can bring more of yourself into your daily life. Each movement is an opportunity to embody these qualities and to explore your barriers to wholeness. The method is comprised of simple movements that engage your core, improve range of motion in your joints, and free the diaphragm to allow natural breathing. The class structure, the sequencing of movements, and the use of music create an environment for deep relaxation and connection. Rosen Movement is grounded in the body and in the present moment: it is simple, practical, and profound.
The workshop leader is Theresa Garcia.
If you would like to come and join us in creating an environment where aliveness, joy, and transformation happen please contact us for more details. A flier will be posted as soon as the venue is confirmed.
Rosen Method Bodywork Weekend Workshop
August 2008
Theresa Garcia will lead participants in a two day look at the possibilities of the Rosen Method – practical information for life now. Being with things as they are – not trying to change or fix anything. From this somatic experience of deeper acceptance, resistance (muscle tension) can dissolve and a renewed aliveness and energy can be found. Contact us for more details – location (Gold Coast), venue and dates (after the Movement intensive in August) to be confirmed soon.
Rosen Method Bodywork Intensive, Canberra, ACT
8 - 14 November 2008
This Intensive workshop will run in Canberra at the Gathering Place with Gloria Hessellund teaching. It’s a great opportunity to slow down, to have some reflective space and time. It provides the opportunity for a range of participant experiences including personal growth, deepening awareness of the body mind connection, skill enhancement for therapists of other modalities, and credit towards training to become a Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner. A flier will be available for download soon. Contact us for more details as they become available.
Please note that the first two days of this workshop may be attended as an Introduction to Rosen Method – please contact us for more details on this option.
Events Program Please note our Events Program may be subject to change depending on availability of venues and teachers. Please Download 2008 Program (downloads require a PDF viewer) if you are interested in upcoming Rosen events.
If you have not attended a Rosen
Intensive before, please Contact us for more information. It could be
that a workshop of one or two days may provide an opportunity for you to
sample the potential of Rosen Method as a first step. (The first two days
of an intensive is concurrently viewed as a two day workshop and has a
different pricing structure.)
Maggie Wilde, journalist with Health and Harmony Guide, attended an
Intensive. Her article Moving through
Fear to find Peace tells of her experience. The article is reprinted

Forward Planning – What’s on the Horizon?
Experiential Anatomy 2009 Sometimes called emotional
anatomy, this is a great opportunity to really explore the link between
anatomy, emotion and body expression. Explore the mind/body connection
through anatomy and touch. Three days, location and facilitator to be
decided.
Continuing Education Workshops 2008/2009 This is an
opportunity for those who have already completed six intensives to revisit
and extend their learning. These workshop gives all involved an
opportunity to reconnect with themselves, their passion, their work
(whatever that involves), and their life, as well as to extend skills
specific to Rosen Method. Three days, location and facilitator to be
decided.
Short workshops Rosen practitioners run shorter workshops in
the areas in which they are located to introduce Rosen method to a wider
audience. Information on those events is available from individual
practitioners listed on this site.
Intensives We’re intending to run three major events with experienced Rosen teachers from the USA and Scandinavia in 2009 – early in the year Feb/March, in the middle of the year June/July and late in the year Nov/Dec. Mark these times in your calendar
to check for future updates or contact us to go on
our mailing list – then you’ll get a Flier as soon as the dates and venues
are known!
