Home › Activities Rosen ActivitiesOne great way to get to know about Rosen Method Bodywork is to experience a Rosen session. There are also books and articles available which go into more detail (see Resources and Articles). Alternatively, there are a number of group activities designed to give information about and experience of Rosen work. Public Information Sessions on Rosen Method BodyworkInformation Sessions on Rosen Method Bodywork are an opportunity to experience and deepen your knowledge and understanding of Rosen Method Bodywork by meeting and talking with those experienced in the work - teachers, practitioners and interns - and through observation or perhaps participation in a demonstration session. While Rosen Method Bodywork in Australia was originally based in Canberra and Tumut, and more recently in far north New South Wales, information sessions have been held in several locations on the East Coast. With an expanding network of people involved in Rosen Method, we are keen to hear from people in other areas who are interested in this program. Contact us if you would to register your interest in attending an information session or in having one held in your area. Introductory WorkshopsWorkshops are generally organised in response to demonstrated interest. Introductory Workshops allow those interested in the work to gain experience and information. Introductory Workshops are usually run on a Friday evening and Saturday for two days over a weekend. An experiential, hands-on approach is used to slowly introduce participants to the work. There is the opportunity to give and receive sessions, to watch and discuss a demonstration session and to share experiences. Workshops can be organized in response to interest in any area. Contact us to find out more. Rosen Experiential Anatomy WorkshopsThis workshop, conducted over four days, explores the relationship between muscle tension, muscle function and emotional holding, through experientially-based knowledge of anatomy, physiology and Rosen bodywork and movement. It is for anyone interested in learning anatomy from the inside out. The program is experiential and includes teaching, demonstrations, supervised practice, movement and discussion. The workshop is of particular interest to practitioners in a wide range of modalities including body therapies, counselling and health care professions. Intensive Workshops"Intensives" are usually held two or three times a year. They are eight day workshops. People choose to undertake Intensives for a variety of reasons, and participants are equally welcomed, whether their intent is to do one or more workshops for interest or personal growth, or to progress through the full practitioner training program. Like the Introductory Workshops, the Intensives are based around an experiential learning approach. More details about Intensives are available under practitioner training, where entry requirements are also discussed. Contact us to indicate your interest in any of the above Rosen activities or to find out location and cost details. Also check the News page for information about any upcoming activities. |
